Hello.
I'm Tasneem, a practising Dawoodi Bohra writer and editor based in Mumbai, India. This is my fourth year in full-time freelancing. I have been fortunate enough to work as a freelance culture journalist with major national and international media outlets such as Mint, Firstpost, The New Arab, gal-dem, Livingetc India, and Open magazine. I have collaborated with companies such as Observer Research Foundation and PATH to edit their research documents. I review books, and also write SEO articles.

It's never easy to describe your story of how you got wherever, because that wherever is rarely a stationary place. It's rather an ever-evolving, reaching-for-something-more work-in-progress.
In my previous lives, I was a content writer; a sub-editor; an English teacher in an Egyptian school for a short stint and a personal German teacher for even a shorter one; a proofreader. My affinity with words has lasted my job permutations, so I stick to them for their loyalty and have made them my whole profession.
And so I work with words -- in both their crafting and pruning.
